Acclaimed fiction author Dionne Irving will be at the Student Center Terrace on Thursday, 2月. 9.，从下午4点开始.m. 至5便士。.m. to read from her latest short story collection, “The 岛屿.” This free event is sponsored by the 十大彩票网投平台 Stokes Center 创意写作.

Following the reading, there will be a book signing and a reception.

The short story collection explores colonialism, immigration, sexual discrimination and class in the lives of Jamaican women. The women are immigrants or the descendants of immigrants, who emigrate to London, Panama, France, Jamaica and Florida.
